production week 4

This week I was getting ready for our live day. On Wednesday we had rehears for live day because I a camera operator I had to get use to using the camera and putting it in the right place and the director was giving me instruction where I should move the camera. I also had color code the script and help set up the set and it was very successful.
I could of made my camera movements better and faster because I took a bit long.
I worked really well with everybody in my team my work was good I think it was very effective. I would say the day was very interesting because it was not what I expected it to be like. We had to do it 4 times because it was not perfect the first time but saying that the 3rd time was good but towards the end it went wrong because one I forgot to put the camera back to where it was meant to be and yanick kept on touching his face and chest and they not hear him properly and towards the end I forgot about the rules of third but when I released that I was not doing it I quickly made sure that it looks perfect and Chloe had to tell me to tilt the camera down a few times but there were times when I could not hear Chloe well. The 4th one was really good we remembered what to do. I focused on what I had to do listened to Chloe and Aisha. My final mark for the live day was a merit I was very happy that I got a merit and I thought the live day was good we also had to make vlog talking about the live day and our thoughts about it.

final script

camera scripit

production meeting 3

This week I had to take 9 photos and made a table and write what I be doing on the live for example I had to take a photo of I will be filming on live day.
The things that was really successful this I finished my camera script and I helped other people with there work.
there is not any thing I can develop in my work. I will be setting up for the live day witch is Thursday 18th of June 2015 The things that was successful this week was the fact that we knew all know what our job roles were and got the hazards done for the risk assessment on time. We also had to have a meeting the was successful because everyone was able to speak on what they had accomplished this week with that being said we are all on the same page so now we  know what we're going to do in the next following week when we come back after the half term.
For me there was nothing to improve I don't think I think I presented my work as well as everyone else.
When we come back from our half term break we will started making the script for our tv show.
I worked with the two other camera operators which were Rashaan and Darren and us working as a three helped us work out all the risks about being a Camera Operator and how to control them. I also had to work with the Director which was Chloe, the two Presenters which were Yanick and Connor mainly to work out where the dance competition was going to be and who was going to be involved in it.

weekly production meeting reflection 2

This week me, rashaan and Darren as camera operators we had to do a risk assessment and list all the hazards and whether it was a low, medium or high risk then we had to figure out we was going to control these hazards. We also had a meeting and discussed what we did this week. We also had to make notes on the what the presenters and director said to give us a more solid idea of how the live day is going to be so up.
The group didn't respond to my idea however Mrs Lowndes did explain my hazard in a bit more detail on what I said.

weekly production meeting reflection 1

The production meeting was done in the media room and it was set like a conference room. We all had to pitch our ideas for the show the people that were not pitching had to write in a table and say whose idea it was and the name of the show and we had say if they kept to the brief and what we thought and liked about the idea. Then after when everybody pitched their idea we had to vote for the best idea.
The group’s response for my idea was very positive they said that my unique selling point was my tittle and my competition.
I voted for Rashaan idea. The reason why I chose his one because of the tittle and the logo it is very unique and the logo represents music because music notes.
Rashaan kept to the brief though out his pitch for example he always goes back to the target audience and how long the show is going to last for and the music video he will show on his show. His content idea was good because he says what the guest and the audience be doing in show.
He could have had more things to interact with the audience for example he could have had public options on music and their favourite artist
I think Aisha Snapchat idea was and Chloe Twitter idea the reason why I chose to include these ideas because I think it will make it more exciting and more productive for the audience to get involved.

treatment for multi camera tv show

programme format

My show is going to include call ins, interviews and competitions. The show will last for 30 mins that includes 15 mins of live footage in the studio and 15 mins of pre recorded footage and a 2 min break. The programme is a music magazines show. A music magazine show is all about the latest music and they have two guest and presenters and it is shown on TV for a short period of time. I really like the format of the one show, celebrity juice, T4 and 106 and Park. So there for I will like my show have the same style that these magazine shows have. The logo I have chosen is a brick wall with a boom box and the of my show witch is S.L.I.M I think that represent my target audience because I know they love music hanging out and graffiti.

Title of show

The names i have thought of are
  • B.L.M
  • S.L.I.M
The reason I have chosen these two because my audience are British. The title I am going to chose is S.L.I.M witch stands for summer live interactive music. I asked people witch is the best name for my show and they said S.L.I.M was good and liked S.L.I.M as well because i thought that it really applies to my target audience which is 14- 20 years old because people love music and summer and being there live. i chose graffiti font because almost every where you see graffiti and it show you that the show is very unique. I want a summery look because that is when people will love to listen to music.

Content ideas

In my show I am going to have a  phone-in asking the artists. This will apple to my audience because  many people will like to talk to their favourite artist. I am going to have interviews with celebrities such as music artistes and directors. I am going have music videos from original artist. I am also going to have competitions for the celebrities and audience, they will be able to win different prizes. I will have a sing off with the celebrities and audience. who can win 4 tickets to watch their favourite artist live. I will also being have Q&A time. The 3 music videos are Omar, Chloe and mine. the question will be from twitter. The reason why I chose Omar's music video is because I feel that it helps you think about how relationships are important to my target audience because if you are 14 to 20 years old you might be in a relationship or just came out of one the song gives the audience something to think about when they are having trouble in or with a relationship. The other song I chose is Chloe's and my reason is because I feel people will like the song and I know must of them like indie music.

Running order

Live
21:00 -21:01 opening  sequence with images, credits and music
21:01- 21:02 introduce the presenters
21:02-21:03 introduce the guest
21:03-21:08 talk to guest
21:08-21:10 show guest music video Omar
21:10-21:15 game competition which is rap/dance off
21:15 -21:17 break
21:17-21:18 the final of the game plus prize
21:18- 21:23 interview with 2 celebrities/Q&A time
21:23-21:25 music video Chloe
21:25- 21:29 audience reaction/ music video Rashaan
21:29-21:30 final credits

The celebrities I am going to are Danielle, Jerome and Nooreen I think they will the best for my show. I will have one of the presenters going and asking the public what type of music they like and you is there favourite artist.

Studio design

The way I want  the studio to look is informal with graffiti and urban colors. I want to use the green screen and the desk. The reason why I want an informal look because the show will be shown to 14-20 years old. I  will be using desk for the question and answers. I will the right side of the room in front of where the green is for the interview and talking the guest.

sketch of background

The reason why I want this as my background because people that are watching my show like urban and graffiti and because it is  about music i want to have a boombox represents music.

visual style
I want to have different type of shot such as close up of the guest and fast cut when the show start to keep my audience focus and not change the channel. The reason why I want to close of the guest is because i want to show there facial expression to make it more exciting.

presentation style
The first presenter is Yannick and I chose him because he is very confident and he has a very mature attitude and speaks very clear. The cloths I want him to wear is smart casual. I want him talk like he normally talks because he has a clam and speaks smooth.

The second presenter is Connor. I want Connor to dress casual because I want him to be informal and him to talk in slang because people aged 14 speak slang a lot.

multi- camera formats

Live sports

The clip I have chosen is from a football match between Barcelona and Real Madrid
practical reasons -
The practical reasons why live sports programmes use multi-camera to film events like football matches which take place in big stadiums is to be able to get  coverage of action all the angles for example when a goal is scored they have close up you can see this at 25.34 and you can see this at 25.19 to 25.33. Another reason for using multi camera you can get the simultaneous recording coverage of action can see the fans reaction from the goal for example at 25.41. If they used one camera they wont be able to see before the goals and the audience reactions because one camera wont get both action as well so they will use multi- camera.
aesthetic reasons
The show uses multi-camera for aesthetic purposes to maintain viewers interest by having very fast cuts and close ups,  for example when a player is fouled  at 55.28 they show him in close up  to show his pained expression and  at 55.30 secs they then cut to  show the referee getting ready to show the other play a yellow card  at 55.34. This means that we get to see the whole event unfolding which keeps up interested while the football is stopped.
of the visual and mode of address
The second reason of aesthetic reason is visual style and mode of address  by having the camera moving fast to make it look very exciting to watch because the players run fast when with the ball so therefore  the camera needs to move fast to catch the best bits. the fast cuts used help to create a fast upbeat vibe to the programme.

live concerts

The practical reasons why concerts have multi- camera is to get the coverage of action so they get all the movement of the artist for example when the artist is dancing you can see this at 1.22 they get it from different angles for example when the game is moving his hand up and down at 0.29 you can see it from an high angle so you can see it from a birds eye view and also because it is in a big arena.

The second practical reason is simultaneous recording coverage of action you can see the audience jumping up and down you can see this at 1.27 so by doing this you can see and get the feel of the audience if you had one camera you wont be able get the artist reaction as well.

The aesthetic reasons of having multi- camera is to maintain viewers interest by having them following the artist movement. They also have close ups of the game at 0.42 to show the viewers that he trying to perform to you and when you see him getting happy it makes you want to keep on watching the camera moving close up of the artist makes watching it more enjoyable. Another aesthetic reason is Visual style and mode of address they make the camera move up and down when the artist is jumping and makes watching very exciting and making you feel you are at party using multi- camera makes the visual look great for example at the game concert at 1.16 you can see that the game is rapping and jumping and one of the camera is focusing on the game and the other camera is focusing the audience body language.

The practical reason to have multi- camera for a public event is to get all the coverage of action is to get the best bits and also because there is a lot going on and if you don't have multi camera you will miss out of the action and would be able to catch the detail. The Olympic games opening ceremony had lots lots going on such as people dancing you can see this at 100.03. Another practical reason to have multi- camera for public event is to constrains of studio or location environment if you had one camera in the  Olympic stadium you not have any detail you just have an establishing shot for example at 38.13 the have high angle to see different actions.

The aesthetic reason to have multi- camera for a public event is to maintaing viewer interest and to do that you must have more than one camera. Also  the most important aspect is to make sure that the viewer dose not change the channel because there is not a lot of excitement. Therefore multi camera s used to maintain this from happening For example in Olympic opening ceremony when they introduce the countries and the athletes who are taking part they show with different camera from different angles and that keeps the viewers interested and keep on watching you can see this at 200.15 you can see a close up high angle of Usin bolt face and makes you want to watch more because when someday who is well known they usually have the camera in their face.

game show

The practical reason to have multi- camera for a game show is to get all the coverage of action is to get the best bits and also because there is a lot going on and if you don't have multi camera you will miss out of the action and would be able to catch the detail. The cube  had lots going on such as people trying to complete the assault course in a certain time you can see this at 4.07. Another practical reason to have multi- camera for a game show is to constrains of studio or location environment if you had one camera in the cube you not have any detail you just have an establishing shot for example at 9.14 the have high angle to see different actions.

The aesthetic reason to have multi- camera for a game show is to maintaing viewer interest and to do that you must have more than one camera. Also  the most important aspect is to make sure that the viewer dose not change the channel because there is not a lot of excitement. Therefore multi camera is used to maintain this from happening For example in the cube when they show the contestant who are taking part they show with different camera from different angles and that keeps the viewers interested and keep on watching you can see this at 12.16 you can see a close up of mo Farah face at 12.19 and makes you want to watch more because when someday who is well known they usually have the camera in their face.

chat show

The practical reason to have multi- camera for a chat show is to get all the coverage of action is to get the best bits and also because there is a lot going on and if you don't have multi camera you will miss out of the action and would be able to catch the detail. The Jonathan Ross show had lots  going on such as Jonathan Ross interviewing the guest  you can see this at 3.07. Another practical reason to have multi- camera for a chat show is to constrains of studio or location environment if you had one camera in the Jonathan ross show  you not have any detail you just have an establishing shot for example at 4.06 the have high angle to see different actions.

aesthetic reasons of having multi- camera is to maintain viewers interest by having them following every action. They also have close ups of vin diesel at 4.26 to show the viewers that he answering the questions and when you see him smiling it makes you want to keep on watching the camera moving close up to him makes watching it more enjoyable. Another aesthetic reason is Visual style and mode of address they make the camera move and makes watching very exciting and that you are there you can see this at 5.36 using multi- camera makes the visual look great for example at10.46.

magazine shows

The practical reason to have multi- camera for a magazine show is to get all the coverage of action is to get the best bits and also because there is a lot going on and if you don't have multi camera you will miss out of the action and would be able to catch the detail. not the one show had lots going on such as them the chatting together you can see this at 0.55. Another practical reason to have multi- camera for a magazine is to constrains of studio or location environment if you had one camera in the not the one show  you not have any detail you just have an establishing shot for example at 2.36 they have two shot to see different actions.
The aesthetic reasons of having multi- camera is to maintain viewers interest by having the different angles and They also have close ups of  one of the guest facial expression that the guest is trying to tell you and makes you to keep on watching because the camera moving close up of the artist makes watching it more enjoyable.

talent show

The practical reason to have multi- camera for a talent show is to get all the coverage of action is to get the best bits and also because there is a lot going on and if you don't have multi camera you will miss out of the action and would be able to catch the detail. Got 2 dance the final  had lots  going on such as people dancing at 0.56 and the judge at 3.15 and the audience you can see this at 3.37. Another practical reason to have multi- camera for a talent show  is to constrains of studio or location environment if you had one camera ingot 2 dance not have any detail you just have an establishing shot for example at 3.41 the have high angle to see different actions.
The aesthetic reasons of having multi- camera is to maintain viewers interest by having the different angles and They also have close ups of  one of the dancers facial expression to show that they are nervous and makes you to keep on watching because the camera moving close up of the artist makes watching it more enjoyable.
